  • 2 1/2 cups flour
  • 1 tsp baking soda
  • 1/2 tsp sea salt
  • 8 Tbsp unsalted butter at room temperature
  • 2 cups light brown sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 1/2 tsp pure vanilla extract
  • 1 1/2 cups semi-sweet chocolate chips

  1. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper and preheat the oven to 350.

  2. In a medium bowl, whisk together flour, baking soda and salt. Set aside.

  3. In a large bowl (or in the bowl of your stand mixer) beat the butter and sugar until light and fluffy, 2 to 3 minutes. Add eggs and beat until blended. Add vanilla extract and beat again until blended.

  4. Add the flour mixture to the blow and mix in dough with spatula (to avoid flour from blowing around from the mixer). Mix on medium until flour is mixed in more and then turn mixer to high speed for a few seconds to pull the dough together. It will be chunky.

  5. Fold in chocolate chips. Drop dough by the spoonful on the lined baking sheet; do not flatten. Bake until lightly browned, 10 - 11 minutes. Remove from oven and transfer to a cooling rack to cool completely. Repeat with remaining dough.

  6. Store cookies in an airtight container at room temperature for 3 days.
